Write about a truth you were afraid to accept.

Prompt Response: I was afraid to accept that I had wasted my begging years of high school not doing much. I wasn't working, doing any extracurricular , nor joining a sport. In the moment I thought I wouldn't be able to do those things or have time for them. It was until later that I realized I had nothing but time to do all of those things. I just needed to go straight for it and face it. Now I am doing more things I never thought I would do back in freshmen or sophomore year.

Summary: Today in class we started reading fences.

Reflection: The beginning of the book started off strong. I can definitely tell there will be a lot of drama going on with Troy.

You are working on your storymap which is reflection on your past. Thinking about your future, as you graduate high school, what role does the Atlanta metro area play in your life? Do you plan to stay or move away? Explain your reasoning.

Reflect on a time when you noticed someone being treated unfairly or saw a situation that didn’t seem right. How does this experience connect to the emotions or ideas expressed in one or both poems?
