Prompt Response: When we first went to Stone Mountain I remember the long inclined walk it took to get to the top. It was so painful the first time. My legs were burning, my face all hot and red, and extremely sweaty as if I got out of the sauna. And the Georgia weather was not helping at all. Not only was it hot but it was humid and the air felt thick. The worst part was reaching the very steep section of the hill where there's a rail to go up and down from. I was not only walking up but also pulling myself up since my legs were just ready to come off. Physically I was exhausted and mentally I was ready to quit but there was no other way to get to the top or back to the bottom without having to press the emergency button or having to pay to get on the sky lift. I was not going to pay for a ride nor was I going to embarrass myself by calling the emergency service with no actual emergency. I had to tough it out and complete the hike. Once I did reach the top it was so satisfying and worth the hike. That day I learned that in order to reach the best things in life I had to push through the toughest challenges. I do not regret reaching the top and I would go back there a hundred times again.
